THE SEARCH FOR RESONANCE

Between 2019-2021 I held a position as research fellow at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway's Music Academy, where I set out to "explore the correspondenses between geometry and frequency" and take a closer look at "the physicality of sound".

I started off the project by diving into all kinds of topics surrounding the nature of sound and frequency, and soon found myself buried deep in a well of information and theories - some less "academic" than others, but all mostly intriguing and interesting.

A turning point came when a professor asked me where "I" - the observer - as in all this, and I started investigating my own search for resonance up to that point in my career.

This led to the project shifting from an outward search for understanding into introspection and questioning "artistic identity" in addition to the continued research on my original topics.

The resulting artistic research reflection was published on the academic platform Research Catalogue, and you can follow the link below to take a closer look at it.

It also resulted in me embarking on the project Pyramids On The Moon, which I continued my work on in the years following my position at UiT.
